At Leeds Trinity University, our vision is to be a leading career-led and applied university, where students achieve outstanding outcomes. Our aim is for our graduates to contribute as active citizens of our region and the wider world. Research, advanced scholarship and knowledge exchange sit at the heart of this.

Having gained University status in 2012, we have made significant progress in these areas over the last 10 years. Our teaching staff have extensive professional experience in their fields, and many are active researchers, contributing to an increasing reputation for research excellence and a research-led culture that enhances our students' learning experience.

Our Research Centres - including the Leeds Centre of Victorian Studies (LCVS) and the innovative International Research Centre for Interactive Storytelling (IRIS) - also bring together world leading and international researchers collaboratively, on interdisciplinary projects and creative outputs, linked to the social justice mission of the University.

Research, Impact and Innovation is one of the four key pillars of the University's Strategic Plan 2021-2026. We are committed to building a Positive Research culture that champions a creative and collaborative approach. As part of this, we are working to increase the economic, social and cultural impact of our activities as we inform public debate, engage and collaborate.
