University of Derby

https://www.derby.ac.uk/research/

We are an applied University that places research at the heart of our curriculum, demonstrates positive impacts on society and works with industry to drive business growth.

Research is an integral part of our academic life. We encourage applied research, pedagogic research and research which directly supports our subject curriculum, informing and inspiring our students, particularly at the higher levels.

We are involved in numerous research collaborations with partner institutions and industry, driving national economic growth and generating impact across health, the environment, technology, social mobility, the economy and government policy. Our research has been recognised on a regional, national and international scale.

We align our research to the United Nations Sustainable Development goals, with a focus on health and wellbeing, smart cities, and social and educational policy. Our researchers are tackling some of the world's most pressing issues, such as the impact of climate change, supporting government priorities on low carbon and national and regional priorities on 'levelling up', and the importance of social mobility.
